Synopsis

This course is introduced in line with the need to further expose working engineers and other professionals to related management tools. In many situations, professionals are always in a predicament when they are responsible for leading organisations or departments, as they lack managerial skills to the extent that it affects their performances.

Entry Requirement

  • Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from UiTM in a related and appropriate area of specialisation with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from other recognised universities approved by UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN ROBOTIC ENGINEERING

Synopsis

Robotics and automation play a critical economic role throughout the world. They are complex systems and are constantly adapting to change. The robotic and automation industry needs professionals with tailored skills and knowledge. This master's degree will expand your knowledge, equipping you with the skills to develop and evaluate solutions to robotics and automation problems. This contributes to the challenges of robotics and automation worldwide. For this program, you can choose either full-time or part-time mode. It will be conducted at the School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam.

Entry Requirement

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, or Science and Technology, from a recognised university with a CGPA of 3.00-4.00 with at least one year of working experience in industries or public sectors related to the engineering area.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, or Science and Technology, from a recognised university with a CGPA of 2.75-2.99 with at least two years of working experience in industries or public sectors related to the engineering area.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, or Science and Technology, from a recognised university with a CGPA of 2.50-2.74 with at least three years of working experience in industries or public sectors related to the engineering area.
  • A Degree in Engineering, or Science and Technology, from a recognised university with a GPA below 2.50 can be accepted subject to a minimum of five years of working experience in industries or public sectors related to the engineering area.
  • Non-bachelor's degree holder with a Certificate APEL T-7 (APEL-A, -C) or STPM/Professional Certificate/Diploma in Engineering in the related field of Robotic Engineering technology or management with at least five years of working experience in industry or public sector in the related field (engineering, technical, science or management).

MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING AND MATERIAL PROCESSING

Synopsis

Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering and Material Processing aims to produce engineers or managers well-versed in manufacturing technology, material processing and management. This programme is offered on a full-time and part-time basis. It will be conducted at the School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam. The minimum duration for full -time is one year (two long semesters and one short semester), while part-time is two years. The maximum time for a full-time programme is two years, and four years for part-time. The total credit for this program is 42.

Assessment will be done through coursework, test and examination. Students will undertake Master Project to fulfil the requirement for this program.

MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN AVIATION ENGINEERING

Synopsis

This programme is introduced in line with the demand for short-term postgraduate courses (one year) in the related field of aviation engineering technology and management. More interestingly, this program offers admission using APEL(A) approval. APEL stands for Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning. Access by APEL recognised informal education such as working experience as part of entry qualification requirements or when applying for credit transfer. The recognition procedure is a systematic process involving the identification, documentation, and assessment of learning based on experience.
