Smart Engineering Synergy 2026 (Sinergi Kejuruteraan Pintar 2026) ›
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) successfully organised Smart Engineering Synergy 2026 (Sinergi Kejuruteraan Pintar 2026) from 20–26 September 2026, welcoming delegates from Cavite State University (CvSU), Philippines to Malaysia. Funded under the Malaysia International Enrichment Matching Fund (MIEMF) 2026, the programme continued the strong academic partnership and reciprocal mobility between UiTM and CvSU. It focused on three key areas: Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (AIoT), Renewable Energy, and Semiconductor Technology.
Throughout the week, participants took part in technical workshops, hands-on activities, laboratory and facility visits, group projects, presentations, and cultural exchange activities. The programme included learning experiences at FKE UiTM, Green Energy Research Centre (GERC), Jabatan Digital UiTM, Mah Meri Cultural Village, TNB Solar Park Banting, and Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT). Participants gained exposure to AIoT applications, photovoltaic systems, IC design, digital IC testing and troubleshooting, semiconductor fabrication, aviation and avionics technologies, providing opportunities to connect classroom knowledge with practical engineering applications.
Beyond technical knowledge, Smart Engineering Synergy 2026 was also about friendship, cultural understanding, teamwork, and meaningful international connections. Malaysian and Filipino students worked together, exchanged ideas, experienced each other's cultures, and created memories beyond the classroom. The programme concluded with final group presentations, certificate and award presentations, reflection sessions, and a closing ceremony at FKE UiTM, celebrating the knowledge, experiences and friendships developed throughout the week.
Led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Roslina Mohamad as Program Director, the success of this programme was made possible through the strong support and commitment of many parties. Special appreciation goes to the FKE Management, Office of the Vice-Chancellor UiTM, UiTM Global, and UiTM Transport Unit for their invaluable support and assistance throughout the programme. A heartfelt thank you also goes to all MIEMF 2026 Smart Engineering Synergy Programme Committee Members and IC DiDiK Liaison Officers for their dedication, teamwork, commitment and tireless efforts in coordinating the activities and ensuring the smooth implementation of the programme from beginning to end. Their contributions played an important role in making our CvSU delegates feel welcomed and at home throughout their stay in Malaysia.
Our sincere appreciation is also extended to all speakers, facilitators, FKE lecturers, CvSU representatives and delegates, collaborating institutions, students, and everyone working behind the scenes who contributed to making Smart Engineering Synergy 2026 a meaningful and memorable international mobility experience. More than an engineering mobility programme, Smart Engineering Synergy 2026 brought together people, ideas, technology and cultures — strengthening the friendship between Malaysia and the Philippines and opening more opportunities for future collaboration between UiTM and CvSU.
