Kajian Kejuruteraan Established
- Led by Tan Sri Dato' Dr Arshad Ayub at Kolej MARA.
- Covered Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Science.
- Offered Advanced Diploma programmes.
Diploma Expansion
Diploma Kejuruteraan Elektrik (Elektronik & Kuasa) programmes launched at multiple branch campuses — Pulau Pinang, Johor, Terengganu, and Sarawak.
Faculty Established
- Department elevated to Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik (FKE).
- Initially located at Menara Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah.
Postgraduate Programmes
First Master's & PhD programmes launched:
- Sarjana Sains (Kejuruteraan Elektrik) — 2000
- PhD (Kejuruteraan Elektrik) — 2001
New Facility
Moved into the Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Engineering Complex, providing better resources and infrastructure for students and staff.

Restructuring
Became part of UiTM's College of Engineering. Four engineering faculties were reorganised under one centralised college structure.
Reinstated as Independent Faculty
FKE was successfully restored as an independent faculty, continuing its legacy of providing quality academic programmes in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
